VEB &VEC Series Vaporizers: Cryoquip manufactures a new series of modular electric powered
vaporizers. The new units are available for use with industrial gases
such as Oxygen, Nitrogen, Argon (model VEB), and Carbon Dioxide CO2
(model VEC) as well as other specialized and rare gases.
These new vaporizers have significantly improved features as compared to the previous cast block design.
The heater elements are removable and replaceable.
Low pressure drops are attainable.
The units are lightweight, portable and need a smaller footprint.
These electric cryogen vaporizers utilize high quality
electric heating elements and stainless steel heat exchanger tubes.
Heating elements and tubes are specially positioned in highly
conductive Aluminum modules extruded especially for the purpose. Heat
transfer is further enhanced within the vaporizer units by means of
spirovane turbulence promoters within each stainless steel cryogen
tube, which also helps prevent slugging and fluid surging.
The vaporizer design incorporates a solid state temperature controller,
independent auto resetting over temperature switch controller and a
separate manual resetting high limit shutdown controller. Controls are
all housed in a dust proof rubber gasketed electrical enclosure with an
interlocked handle. Individual electrical components are U.L.
recognized, CSA certified and IEC approved and units can be
manufactured in accordance with European regulations and carry the CE
mark.
Units are available in multiple voltages. Power requirements
may vary slightly with each specific voltage. Options available are low
temperature solenoid shut off valve; Polyurethane painted NEMA 4 or
Stainless steel enclosures; ANSI, DIN or Mueller four-bolt flanged
connections.
Standard VEB models for atmospheric gases are available with flow rates from 700 SCFH (19Nm3/hr) up to 30,800 SCFH (800Nm3/hr).
Power requirements vary from 5kW up to 135kW.
Standard VEC models for Carbon Dioxide CO2 are available with flow rates from 70lbs/hr (32kg/hr) up to 2000lbs/hr (909kg/hr).
Power requirements vary from 5kW up to 90kW.
Standard maximum working pressure 580 psig (40barg)
Pressures up to 10,000 psig (690barg) available.
